The Commercial Kitchens Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS) outlines the main hazards and risks associated with work carried out in kitchens used for the preparation of food in other than domestic situations, including risks of burns and scalds, risk of falls, hazardous manual tasks, work in hot environments, and exposure to hazardous chemicals.

The SWMS provides details of the health and safety precautions (including protective clothing) required for work carried out in commercial kitchens.
