Containers - Delivery and Pick up

The Containers – Delivery and Pick up Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS) outlines the main hazards and risks associated with the delivery, on-site handling or pick up of shipping containers (and similar items) including movement of vehicles, operation and use of mobile plant, hazardous manual tasks, and working in outdoor environments.

The SWMS does not cover the loading or packing, or unloading or unpacking of goods or materials containers.

The SWMS provides details of the safety precautions (including personal protection) required when delivering, handling or despatching containers.
