The Forklifts – Gas Cylinder Changeover safe Work Method Statement (SWMS) outlines the main hazards and risks associated with the storage, handling and use of LP Gas cylinders used for fuel on forklifts (and similar plant) including fire and explosion risk, exposure to chemicals, cold burns, hazardous manual tasks and falling objects.
The SWMS provides details of the health and safety precautions (including protective clothing and PPE) required for the safe changeover of gas cylinders on forklifts.
